Don't Forget Your News Papers This Week

Don't forget to get your newspapers this weekend, there will be 4 booklets in each paper... Remember that when you get your coupons you don't need to rush out and use all of them that same week, save them for a good sale. I know that everyone will be getting ready for Easter coming up the following weekend, so before you shop, go to the store's websites and see if you can clip some coupons to use on your purchases. Also, keep those coupons from the paper for Red Lobster, Olive Garden, or your favorite restaurant, there is nothing like using 2 coupons for four people at Red Lobster and getting $8.00 off of your meals :) We went a few days ago to Red Lobster, and I pulled out 2 coupons for $4.00 each, it was funny how some people at the table found something very interesting outside the window and, all at the same time, their heads turning in that direction simultaneously..but hey, it saved us $8.00, I don't mind... have a great weekend my friends ... and keep on clippin!

Coupon Class

We had an excellent time tonight at the Coupon Class at Hatchbend Apostolic Church. Several people came, and we had such great gifts as door prizes, even the Tuna:) I really enjoy couponing, since I began in February 2011, I have saved a total of $1,358.00. I now enjoy shopping where once, I dreaded letting go of my hard earned money, just to eat it:) Thank you to all of the sites on the internet that I go to for help and direction, and thank you to all of my favorite stores: Publix, Winn-Dixie, CVS and Walgreens... I love you! I really enjoy the fact that I can go to the following places to see next weeks sales in advance, www.iheartcvs.com and www.iheartpublix.com these sites are really a great help. I love the fact that I now have my pantry finished, and when you walk in, it looks like a little corner store. How sweet to just be able to go in there to pick out something to cook for supper, or just for a snack and you don't have to go to the store and pay full price, that is awesome. Can't wait to teach another class, I enjoy sharing this with others who want to also save their money for things like... oh well, maybe a vacation:) Until next time my friends... keep clippin

Coupon Book

The sun is going down and I am taking the time to work a little on "the book" Clipping and sorting coupons and putting them each in their own little pocket, each of them waiting till shopping day and its as if they all are screaming, pick me... pick me... The book weighs usually around 6 to 10 pounds, and is very pretty with my victorian lady on the front cover and a little saying that reads "Coupons... The least I can do for the family I love".

To say the least it has helped us extremely with our budget, and with all of the little coupons, you are bound to try something that you normally don't cook which adds diversity to the routine of cooking which is somehow embedded into each one of our lives. So of course I would decorate my book after all it goes with me everywhere I go, just in case ... you never know ...

I proudly carry the book with me into the store, when I get out of the car in the parking lot, my briefcase in tow with the book inside, I AM ON A MISSION! I get my cart, settle everything inside for my shopping trip, and I lay out my book open on top of the cart. At first it bothered me just a little because everyone looks at your book, of course there are more "at a girls" than not, many will say to me "you are one of THOSE ladies are'nt you" But many are impressed, it is funny how many people like the book that I proudly show off, let them flip through it, and never forget to show them the front cover with the victorian lady in lavender.

This book has swiftly become another companion for me, if I want something and don't have a coupon, I search till I find one, if it is possible. Enough for now about the book, I need to finish re-loading it. Before I go, I will say that all of the expired coupons are being sent to our Military personel. I have found a great contact that uses them, and when she cannot use, she gives to other military people to use and enjoy. After all, when you carry them around for a month or two, you hate to part with them by way of the trash. "The Book" I enjoy it!

I started couponning the first part of February and wow... the money that you can save is tremendous. I just love the accomplished feeling of now being able to walk into the store and save at least half of whatever I spend. Some of the deals that I have gotten in the past few weeks have been amazing. The last time that I went shopping without a coupon, I filled up my buggy and walked out of Walmart $350.00 lighter, without a coupon in hand, it was hard to buy everything that we needed because of the economy, but now I just added a new pantry to hold the groceries etc. I also had new shelving added to my laundry room in order to hold the detergent etc. This is something new, but I will never go back to spending full price at the grocery stores. Lovin couponning! I will be posting pics etc of my deals, and even give you a picture of my "new pantry".
